20 On the Rise - Class of 2019

Last year, Honeybook and Rising Tide started an initiative called 20 On the Rise — “…a celebration of individuals who are making waves and raising the tide, rocking their respective industries through hard work and creativity.” Individuals are nominated by fellow creative entrepreneurs and then are evaluated by folks at Honeybook to see who is a rising star in their field based on empowerment, impact, purpose, and passion. They purposely do not allow this to be a popularity contest where people can vote. It is more like a curated list of creative entrepreneurs they believe are making an impact.

This year was the second 20 On the Rise and I am really humbled and honored to say that I was nominated and also selected by Honeybook as one of 20 Artists and Product Makers they’re recognizing. It came as such a surprise to me. So many times, it feels as though we’re trying to work so hard to excel in our field or to make a difference for other people and nobody really sees everything that happens behind the scenes. The reality is that people do care and people do notice.

I’d encourage you to go check out some of their work and read their stories. Everyone is unique and everyone has a story to tell. So many of us are really just at the beginning.
