HEY, WORLD.
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to work with animals. The picture varied through the years, but the end goal always involved animals. I spent my schooling and the extent of my early career as an environmental educator and park ranger. Nature has always been my sanctuary -- a place where I can explore, observe, and learn.
Dealing with life-threatening systemic lupus forced me to explore new careers that could accommodate the realities of my illness. I started with pets and eventually decided to learn how to capture the things that bring me back to the outdoors over and over again. Birds are my passion and the subject I return to the most, but I also enjoy capturing other wildlife and even botanicals.
If you know me, you know that I enjoy spending my time birding, studying bird songs, shooting a longbow at an outdoor range, and cuddling with my dogs. I am very passionate about lupus research and empowering others who are learning to live with their disabilities. Above all else, I am hopeful that my work may inspire others to enjoy and conserve their own local natural spaces. Your support means so much to me as I try to carve a place for myself in this world.
