Skunk Kits - Speed Drawing in Pastel

First off, this video taught me that the camera doesn't like either the different paper color or the fact that my hand/arm sits on a mahl stick away from the paper while using pastel pencils. This resulted in some lighting changes each time I moved my arm, so I'll have to do some work to see if I can eliminate that in the future.

This piece is of two skunk kits and the video is at 20x the normal speed to condense it into a smaller video. Supplies used include: Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper in Anthracite, PanPastel (mostly black and some Payne's grey shades), and a mix of Stabilo Carbothello and Faber-Castell PITT pastel pencils. I transferred my line drawing/sketch using Saral wax free transfer paper in white, which is the white that you see on the page. I haven't completely finished these skunks, but this will allow you to see a bit more of my process! Once finished, this piece will be a part of my Woodland Mammals notecard set, which will include the skunk kits, mule deer, least chipmunk, and red fox. Please let me know if you have any questions about my process!
